Barry Award-winning  Brett Battles was born and raised in southern California. His parents, avid readers, instilled the love of books in him early on.

Though he still makes California his home, he has traveled extensively to such destinations as Ho Chi Minh City, Berlin, Singapore, London, Paris, and Bangkok, all of which play parts in his current and upcoming Jonathan Quinn thrillers, including The Cleaner, The Deceived and Shadow of Betrayal.

He’s a member of MWA, ITW and is a regular columnist for the Anthony Award nominated writer’s blog, Murderati.

Nicholl Award-winning Robert Gregory Browne began his career by selling a two-part mystery story, Nothing But the Cold Wind, to EasyRiders magazine.

After more than a decade as a screenwriter, Rob shifted his focus to his first love, novels, and wrote Kiss Her Goodbye. Rob’s subsequent books are the thrillers Whisper in the Dark, Kill Her Again, Down Among the Dead Men (2010) and Paradise City (2011).  Two of Rob’s stories have sold to Hollywood.

In addition to the US, he’s also published in the UK, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria and Denmark. He’s a member of ITW and is a regular columnist for the Anthony Award nominated writer’s blog, Murderati.

Both Brett and Rob have stories in Lee Child’s critically acclaimed crime fiction anthology, Killer Year.
